Kenzo have just released their SS13 campaign photos by the acclaimed photographer (and jack of all trades) Jean-Paul Gorde and I can’t wait to see these pictures featured in every magazine available! If you aren’t familiar with Kenzo, it was founded in 1970 by the Japanese designer Takada Kenzo who used ethnic prints and nature as his main inspirations for the fashion houses vibrant designs. He created a Japanese brand which was Parisian chic. The line’s creative directorship has recently been taken over by fashion darlings and Opening Ceremony’s Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, so you know its good.
Kenzo’s SS13 eclectic show is best described by the leopard print-esque spots which graced almost every piece. The bright vibrant colours hinted at the exotic flowers of the Thai jungle without being too floral and literal. These and the safari worthy cropped utility jackets which were emblazoned with the brand’s signature tiger logo will soon be featured in every fashionista’s wardrobe.
I’ve been lusting over a Kenzo Tiger Embroidery sweatshirt ever since Chiara Ferragni sported one on her Instagram account and I’m still in hot pursuit. They’re sold out everywhere but as this seasons offerings are as iconic as their last, I’m sure I’ll soon be searching the internet like a madwoman for this collection as well.
This campaign has firmly cemented the brand into one of my all time favourites!
